Androscoggin River Gulf Island Pond Open

The Open is a fundraiser for our club, the Children's Miracle Network, and Maine Credit Union Campaign to End Hunger. Since the inception of the open over 25 years ago we have donated several thousand dollars to these charities. We wish to thank all those that have participated or sponosred the event.

Maine State Fish Off

The 2017 Maine B.A.S.S. Nation State Fish Off will be held on Long Lake / Brandy Pond, Naples, Maine on September 9 & 10 from 7-3pm each day. Launch and weigh in out of Naples Marina.

University of Maine College Fishing Team "Big Bass Dash" Fundraiser to be held Oct 14, 2017

Where: Damariscotta Lake Time: 730-330pm

This event is still in the works but so far we know it will be a Big Bass Only event. Weigh in location is still being planned. Maximum of 2 anglers per boat each pay their own entry fee and compete separately. Anglers can weigh in 1 bass in each of the 4 time periods. Anyone meeting the requirements may fish the event. We will have 4 weigh in time periods for anglers to weigh in their big bass.

Androscoggin River Black Bear Open Fortin/Barrett Win

The University of Maine Fishing Club would like to thanks all the anglers that came out and supported our open. The open will benefit the University of Maine Fishing Club. Results

Black Bear Open, Tacoma Lakes 2016, Lodge/Grover Win

A good crowd of 35 anglers gathered to fish this years open. After the morning briefing and the playing of the National Anthem the teams headed out to compete on a chilly morning.

Congrats to the top 4 teams earning cash prizes! 1st Place Lodge / Grover 16.96 also each won a pair of XtraTuf Boots http://www.xtratufboots.com/ 2nd place UMaine Team of B Volkernick / Rubner 16.02 and the 4.58 lunker largemouth, which also earned them a package from Why Knot Fishing www.whyknotfishing.com/ 3rd place Carrier / Towns 15.38, 4th place Laliberty / Gayton 14.11. Lunker smallmouth was the team of Gagnon / Gagnon with a 3.49 beauty, which also earned them a reel from Cheeky Fishing http://cheekyfishing.com/. The 50/50 raffle winner, John Volkernick, donated the prize back to the University of Maine Fishing Club. Brian, Cody and the University of Maine Collegiate Fishing Team would like to thank everyone that participated, volunteered, and sponsored this benefit event for our club.
