Kylie Jenner's Musical Journey: A Dream Realized or a fleeting Interest?
Kylie Jenner, the renowned beauty mogul, has surprised fans with her recent foray into the music industry. In an interview, Jenner opens up about her unexpected collaboration with Terror Jr on the song "Fourth Strike" and hints at a potential future in music.
Jenner, who has always dreamed of being a pop star, reveals that she is now embracing her passion at a time when she is approaching her thirties. "This is my dream, even since I came out of the womb, I wanted to be a pop star," she shared in a Q&A video. However, she admits that her confidence has always been a barrier, but now she is determined to give it a shot.
"I’m going to be 30 soon and I just don’t want to look back on life and have any regrets and this is something I’ve always wanted to try. But, you know, I don’t think I’m like Adele or anything," she laughed. Jenner's humility is refreshing, as she acknowledges that she is not aiming for Adele's level of success, but rather wants to explore her musical aspirations.
The recording process was a nerve-wracking experience for Jenner, who needed three vodka sodas to calm her nerves during her first session. Despite her initial anxiety, she persevered and attended two studio sessions, each lasting five to six hours. In the song, Jenner raps the lyrics: "One strike, two strike, let me get the mood right. Do it on purpose just to see how it ends."
When asked about her future in music, Jenner expressed her enthusiasm, "I hope so. I would love to try. I don’t want it to end. And I think, why not? I think we should try. Let’s like, make an album."
Jenner's musical journey began with a sequel to Terror Jr.'s 2016 song "3 Strikes." For the latter song, Jenner, also known as her alter ego "King Kylie," starred in its music video to promote the launch of her Kylie Cosmetics glosses. While her music career is still in its early stages, Jenner's passion and determination are undeniable, and fans can't help but wonder if this is the start of something more.
